A gorgeous gift even when you're in a rush
Recently, I needed a quick gift for a spontaneous evening barbecue hosted by my lovely neighbours. So, I quickly grabbed my lovely Woodies ‘Let’s celebrate it’s party time!’ stamp and started stamping!
What you need:
• Champagne bottle
• Patterned and white paper
• Approximately 2 metres of cream ribbon
• Raffia ribbon
• 3-5 stems of summer flowers
• Brown Kraft card for bottle tag
• Orange clips
• 3.5 cm circle punch
• Flower punch
• Woodies ‘Let’s celebrate it’s party time!’ stamp
• Woodies ink pad colour no.5: ‘Royal Rose’
This is how it’s done:
First, cut a piece of paper to shape, to fit around the lower part of the bottle and secure the edges. Wrap pretty raffia ribbon around this and knot together at the back of the bottle.
Now cut a strip of paper with the dimensions 18 x 8 cm and then fold the card at 5 cm. Make a circular hole in this marked off area using the circle punch. This hole will be used for attaching the gift tag to the bottle neck later. Decorate your tag according to taste.
Stamp the Woodies ‘Let’s celebrate it’s party time!’ stamp motif in ‘Royal Rose’ ink onto white paper, cut it out using the circle punch and then stick onto the tag.
I used a flower punch to cut out a few additional flowers to decorate my tag with. I layered several flowers together, secured them with a clip and then arranged them nicely on the bottle.
Choose some pretty summer flowers from your garden or from your favourite florist. Then tie your flowers stems together beautifully. After that, attach your bottle tag to the bottle neck and secure your little posy of flowers by pushing it through the bottle tag hole and securing at the back.
To finish, wrap the ribbon around the posy as well as round the bottle neck and tie a pretty bow.
Your host/hostess gift is now ready to go.
And there’s always a reason to celebrate!
Bye for now, Nadine
